What is a nebuliser?
Updated: August 2019
Nebulisers can help you breathe easily. They are commonly used to treat respiratory diseases and lung conditions, which may include mild symptoms like coughing or nasal congestion and more severe diseases such as asthma and pneumonia.
Nebulisers can be used with prescribed medicines to open up your airways, or with saline solution to keep your nose clean and prevent mild symptoms from escalating into a severe lung condition. They work by turning liquid medicine into a fine mist of tiny droplets which you, and especially young children, can easily inhale through a mask or mouthpiece. Turning the medicine into a mist means that it can target your respiratory tract more quickly and effectively.
OMRON offers a wide range of nebulisers for you to choose from, whether you’re looking for a more sturdy, home-based compressor nebuliser for frequent use or a compact, portable mesh (or membrane) nebuliser that you can carry with you anywhere. OMRON nebulisers are clinically tested and are designed to help treat different respiratory diseases for different age groups.
