You can delete the stored data and the pairing information by following the instructions below:
Press the [Connection] button first. Keep pressing it and press and hold the [Power] button for 5 seconds.
The Power indicator lights up and the other indicators flash. This means the status of confirmation of deleting the data.
During the status of confirmation of deleting the data, release both buttons and press and hold only the [Communication] button again for 2 seconds.
At the completion of the data clear, the Connection indicator lights up.
WheezeScan uses a highly sensitive microphone to analyze breathing sounds. It is possible that the device detects wheezing at such early stage that you cannot yet hear the whistling sound yourself. Always follow the instructions of your physician no matter what the result from this device is.
WheezeScan can only be used to detect wheezing with children from four months to seven years old.
With WheezeScan turned off, press and hold the [Connection] button for 2 seconds or more. The Connection indicator flashes and WheezeScan waits for pairing. Then, follow the instructions of the OMRON Asthma Diary App.
Note that the [Connection] button does not function when WheezeScan is turned on.
With WheezeScan turned off, press and hold the [Connection] button for 10 seconds or more. The Connection indicator begins to flash after 2 seconds but keep pressing. DO NOT release the button. When the Bluetooth is turned off, the Connection indicator lights up. Then, WheezeScan automatically turns off.
After giving relief medication, WheezeScan may still detect the wheezing sound while the medication is taking effect. Always follow the instructions of your physician no matter what the result from this device is.
WheezeScan helps parents or caregivers to identify if the child is wheezing. If the child is having signs and symptoms of chest tightness, shortness of breath, coughing or wheezing, take action as prescribed by a physician.
There are several reasons why WheezeScan would give an error message. Please consult the troubleshooting section in the WheezeScan instruction manual.
You should always measure on the right side of the chest, under the collarbone. The left side of the chest is closer to the heart. Measurements may not be accurate due to the influence of the heartbeat.
